Cadbury's Creme Eggs celebrate their 50th anniversary this year , a very special anniversary that the British brand has named "Golden Goo-bilee." And since 50 years don't happen every day (and they deserve a party in style), Cadbury has pulled out a limited edition beer inspired by its famous creme eggs. To this end, the Mondelez subsidiary has joined forces with the Goose Island brewing company with the ultimate goal of producing the so-called "Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout .
Cadbury's new and unique product is a black beer infused with cocoa beans and vanilla in order to highlight the creamy chocolate notes of such a sweet liquid. Cadbury's new beer will be sold on a limited basis through the Gooose Island Phone Number List website and will be sold solely and exclusively to people over 18 years of age. With an alcohol content of 4.5%, the new "Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout" is being promoted on social media through a fun video in which Cadbury's Creme Eggs metamorphose into plump beer glasses. That campaign began with an ad that showed off the many ways people can share Cadbury Creme Eggs. And although innocent, the spot ended up causing controversy on Twitter for including a scene in which two men had a passionate kiss with a chocolate egg in their mouths. Despite the criticism, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) , the body that ensures self-control of advertising in the United Kingdom, rejected the 40 complaints caused by the advertisement as not being sufficiently substantiated and resolved that it could continue to be broadcast on television.
